About Walls of Light
How It Started
Old friends Jodi Ann Bickley, author and letter writer, and the critically acclaimed artist Fokawolf reconnected on the school run and decided they wanted to create something fun—something big, powerful, and rooted in the community where their kids are growing up. And, Walls of Light was born: vibrant, joyful murals reminding every member of the community that they are part of something bigger, and offering a little hope for those tougher days. After countless coffees, reaching out to some of their favorite local artists, and securing a grant from Arts Council England and a Creative Black Country commission, the first walls were painted—and that’s where the story begins.
